The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-
Ethan Kent Woinarowicz, 25, of Warren, for fourth-degree DUI.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 8/8/2023 –
At 12:27 p.m., the CFD responded to the 800 block of Central Ave N for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that staff were testing a system in the kitchen which unintentionally set off the fire alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD cleared the scene.
At 3:07 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1600 block of Stephens Dr for a report of a Carbon Monoxide detector activation. Upon investigation, the CFD called Great Plains Natural Gas Company, and it was found to be a faulty vent on a water heater. The CFD ventilated the house, and a service tech was called to make the repairs. There was no other danger present. The CFD then cleared the scene.
At 6:56 p.m., the CFD responded to the 500 block of Summit Ave W for a report of a fire alarm activation in an apartment. Upon arrival, it was found to be cooking that had activated the alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD ventilated the apartment and then cleared the scene.
