THE CCT WILL WELCOME SOD HOUSE THEATRE FOR THEIR “TABLE” PRODUCTION ON THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 20

The Crookston Community Theatre and Sod House Theatre will present a TABLE event on Thursday, September 20, starting at 6:00 p.m. In the Crookston Eagles Banquet Hall.

Sod House Theatre is a Minnesota nonprofit organization creating theatre performances nationwide. The purpose of the TABLE tour is to reconnect audiences through food, laughter, music, and entertainment.

The TABLE production at the Eagles begins with the audience seated at six tables, and dinner will be served. The cast members will be serving dinner while doing the show. While audience members dine, they will be able to enjoy performances by the cast and musicians with the efforts to bring the stories and music “to life.” “We’ll have salad ready at the tables, and the cast will bring the plates from the kitchen,” said Local coordinator of the TABLE event Lynne Mullins, “While they are serving, they will be interacting with the people, and there will be songs and stories as a part of the interactions.”

The food that will be served is all local products and produce. That includes cucumbers and tomatoes, which will come from Annies Gardens by Erskine. “The vinaigrette will include maple syrup from Wild Wood Farms, the entrée plate will have a pork chop that we’re getting through Annies Gardens,” said Mullins, “We will also have warm potato salad where the potatoes and onions are also coming out of Annies Garden.” The final dish served is an apple dessert with apples and locally grown Oats from the Crookston area.

The director and author of this performance is Sarah Agnew, and Eric Jensen will do the music composition. Other performers that will be featured are Elise Langer, Kimberly Richardson, Emma Bauer, Del Logeais, Stephanie Kahle, Simone Perrin, and Maren Ward.

To register for the event, you can make reservations by calling 218-270-9511, and you can pay at the door before the event.
