PIRATE SPEECH TEAM BRINGS HOME AWARDS FROM FOSSTON/BAGLEY COMPETITION

The Crookston High School Speech Team competed at the Fosston/Bagley meet on Saturday, with students taking home awards.

Zac Plante competed against 25 other students, taking 2nd place in humor. Leah Johanneck also advanced to finals in original oratory and took 6th place.

Plante also competed in duo interpretation with Shayla Azure, and the two received a superior ribbon. Shayla Azure also competed in humor, receiving a ribbon of excellence.

Ciaran Mulvey competed in prose, Lily Olmstead in storytelling, Jaden Newquist in drama, Ivan Luckow in discussion, and John Lisov in humor.

The team has two regular competitions left this season and will compete in Blackduck next Saturday.
