CROOKSTON PIRATE BOYS GOLF FINISH 4TH AT CROOKSTON INVITE

The Crookston Pirate Boys golf team finished fourth place out of four teams at the Crookston Invitational at Minakwa Golf Course in Crookston. Roseau won the invite with a 325, seven strokes better than Thief River Falls. 

GARRETT FISCHER- The sophomore had a solid front nine while recording a birdie on the third, eighth, and ninth holes. He parred the fifth and seventh holes and bogeyed three holes and had one double bogey. On the second nine, he turned in six pars (holes 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9), and bogied two holes and one double bogey for a 78, which was six over par and good for a tie for the second best score of the day.

BRANNON TANGQUIST- The senior had eight pars on the day. He also recorded five bogies, two doubles, and three triples for a 90, which was good for the second-best score on the team.

EVAN SHOCKMAN- The sophomore had one birdie, five pars, five bogies, six doubles, and one triple for a 91.

ASHTON SHOCKMAN- The senior turned in the four best score for the Pirates by shooting a 93. He had four pars, eight bogies, five double bogies, and one triple.

TATE HAMRE- The sophomore shot a 95 with a better second nine. He had five pars, seven bogies, four doubles, one triple, and one 10 on a par 5.

DAVID DAUKSAVAGE- The sophomore turned in his first sub-100 round of the season with a 99. He had two pars, nine bogies, five double bogies, one triple bogey, and a 10 on a par 5.
