Crookston’s Golden Link Senior Center held a Flag Day Flag Retirement Program earlier today at the Golden Link.
The program included a speech on the importance of disposing of your American Flag once it has become too weathered or worn, a reading of the poem “Old Glory,” and details on the proper techniques necessary for disposing of a U.S. Flag. Speakers for the event include-

- Junior Members: Beth Capistran, Ella Capistran, and Mollie Samuelson
Pie and coffee were served after the program. The American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and DAV Auxiliary sponsored the event.
