The Crookston Pirate Girls Tennis team beat Providence Academy 5-2 in the first round of the Minnesota State Class A Girls Tennis tournament and will play the Litchfield Dragons in the semi-finals at 10:00 a.m. at the Reed Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis for a trip to the state championship.
Crookston beat Litchfield 4-3 earlier this year without Ashlyn Bailey. Litchfield beat Montevideo 5-2 in the first round.
