The Crookston Park and Rec Department has released the 2025-26 Fall/Winter Funfinder, which includes activities for kids ages three and over.
Some highlights are hockey, swim lessons, figure skating, volleyball (youth and adult), wrestling, basketball, and more.
Crookston Park and Rec Director Scott Butt encourages everyone to sign up early to save money and help them figure out how many teams they will need. “The number one thing is the early and late registration fees. We need to be able to figure out how many teams we are going to have and how many kids per team. We want to make sure we have enough teams so we don’t play with 22 kids on a hockey team or have two teams and get more kids ice time,” said Butt. “We want people to know about the figure skating program so we can grow those numbers again. The pool is open, and we will have swimming lessons again this fall and winter.”
There could be some new Park and Rec activities coming this winter. “I am hoping down the road in a month or two that we might be able to announce and put together a broom ball league together for adults,” said Butt. “I am also hoping to get a coed adult water volleyball league together at the pool.”
