The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following –
Marvin Drew Smith, 36 of Ada, for Domestic Assault
Nadine Alice Debay, 72 of Climax, for Disorderly Conduct
Kari Lynn Kujava, 54 of Crookston, for DUI
Samuel David Ortley Jr., 31 of Naytashwaush, for trespassing on agricultural land, entering the premises without the consent of the owner.
Luke Douglas Maring, 32 of Halstad, for domestic assault
Jason Wayne Malwitz, 51 of Plummer, for domestic assault
Daniel Patrick Labrache, 44 of Fertile, for fourth-degree DUI
Crookston Fire Calls
There were several calls for the Fire Department yesterday.
At 9:48a.m. the Fire Department was called for an alarm activation at the 100 block of Sargent Street. It was burnt food. The Fire Department reset the alarm, and then as they were returning to the station, they were called to the 1200 block of Eickhoff Boulevard for a structure fire. They arrived on scene at 10:12 a.m. and successfully controlled and stopped the fire at 10:23. There is an active investigation, and no cause of the fire has been released at this time.
At 11:48 a.m yesterday the Fire Department was called to the 2900 block of University Avenue for an alarm activation. After a short investigation, they discovered it was because of dishwasher steam. The Fire Department reset the alarm and then cleared the scene.
