Crookston High School Choir participates in Fall Chorale Festival

55 members of the Crookston High School Concert Choir joined 190 other choir members from East Grand Forks, Bagley, Lancaster, and Middle River for the Annual Fall Chorale Festival in East Grand Forks on October 27.

Retired director of Choirs from NDSU, Dr Michael Weber, worked with the musicians for an afternoon in preparation for the evening concert that occurred later in the evening.

A few choirs sang two selections alone, Crookston performing “Sometimes” by Alexis Neenan and “Glorious” by Stephanie Mayby, before being joined by the mass choir.  Once all 240 students were on the stage, the selections heard were Let Me Listen by Dan Forrest and ended with Homeland by Dan Schutte.

The Crookston Choir would like to thank Donovan Hanson for hosting this year’s festival, East Grand Forks, Beth Carlson for accompanying, and Tina Mason for hemming up the concert dresses. Next year, the Fall Chorale Festival will be held in Crookston
