Crookston Pirate Activities Director Evan Pederson has announced that Tyson Siegle has been hired as the Crookston Pirate Baseball coach and Lisa Conzemius has been hired to be the new Boys head track and field coach, pending school board approval.
TYSON SIEGLE
Siegle brings nearly three decades of coaching experience to the program, having begun his coaching career in Crookston around 1995. Over the years, he has coached at multiple levels, ranging from 10U youth baseball through Legion and high school programs.
During the past five years, Siegle has remained actively involved in Crookston baseball, serving as a coach at the 13U and 15U levels, an assistant coach for Junior Legion, head coach for junior high, and an assistant coach for both the high school and Legion teams. His experience also includes time as an assistant coach for high school and Legion baseball in Fertile, Minnesota, as well as coaching in a fall league in Fargo.
Siegle is eager to begin working with players, particularly pitchers and catchers, to develop some arm strength and stamina, as preparations for the upcoming season get underway this spring
The Crookston High School baseball season is scheduled to begin on March 16, 2026.
LISA CONZEMIUS
In addition to serving as the high school principal, Lisa brings a deep passion for Track and Field and more than 10 years of coaching experience from her previous role in Detroit Lakes. Her extensive background includes coaching nearly every event within Track and Field, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the sport and the diverse talents of student-athletes.
Lisa is excited for the opportunity to grow the Crookston Track and Field program and help student-athletes reach their full potential. She believes Track and Field provides a powerful environment for students to develop perseverance, resilience, and the courage to try new things. The sport also offers students the opportunity to discover talents they may not have realized they possessed.
Most importantly, Lisa is committed to ensuring that every athlete feels valued — regardless of skill level or role on the team — while creating positive and meaningful experiences for all participants.
Crookston Activities looks forward to the leadership, experience, and enthusiasm Lisa will bring to the program.
