GIRLS –
The Pirate Girls were short-handed as they were missing several of the returning point leaders from last year and brought a young team to the meet. Keatyn Kliner finished seventh in the 800 meters in 3:02.85. The time was a good start to the season. Kliner was also a part of the seventh-place 4×800 relay team along with Jennika Reese (Freshman), ZiiZi Sam (Senior), and Catelyn Maruska (Freshman). There were two other top 10 finishes for the Pirates with Kinsley Wangen, a freshman, finishing ninth place in the long jump with a jump of 13-0.75. The other top 10 finish was Cecelia Widman, a junior, finishing 10th place and just shy of a personal best. Cecelia Widman, a junior, started the season with a solid jump of 13-0.25.
The Pirate track teams will head back to Concordia College on Tuesday, March 31, for another indoor meet.
