Elaine Kaml, 79, of Euclid, MN, died on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in North Star Manor of Warren, MN.
Elaine Doris Kaml was born on September 3, 1946. Raised on the family farm in Fanny Township, Polk County, MN, she was the eldest of six children born to Paul and Rose (Kluzak) Kaml. She graduated from high school in 1965 and went on to live in Crookston, Euclid, and Thief River Falls. Elaine was a person who kept to herself. By her own admission, she didn’t like men very much, but did enjoy the little things: a cold Coca-Cola, her favorite cigarette, a phone call with her sister, Marian, working in the sun in her garden. She volunteered for the Humane Society in Crookston and had a soft spot for dogs.
In later years, as she moved into various assisted living facilities, she didn’t visit with others too much. And if the few words she said were sometimes a little terse, the rest of the time she had a contented smile playing across her lips.
Elaine is survived by a brother, Myron (Charlene) Kaml of Green River, WY; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rose Kaml; brothers, Duane and Harlan Kaml; and sisters, Carolyn Kaml, and Marian Green.
Interment of her cremated remains will be held in the Czech National Cemetery of Tabor, MN.
