The Crookston Pirate Boys Golf team finished fifth place out of five teams while shooting a 354 at the Pre-subsection meet at Oakcreek Golf Course in Roseau.
East Grand Forks won the meet with a 295, 11 strokes better than Roseau. Crookston was led by Garrett Fischer with a 74, good for fourth place. The medalist was Brody Johnson of East Grand Forks with a 69..
Garrett Fisher, a senior, shot a 74 to finish in 4th place. Garrett carded five birdies, six pars, six bogies, and one double bogey.
Evan Shockman, a senior, shot an 88 for 23rd place. Evan had six pars, nine bogies, two double bogies, and one quadruple bogey.
Tony Elbinger, a senior, shot a 95 to finish in 26th place. Tony had three pars, 10 bogies, four double bogies, and one six over par.
Kelby Fee, a seventh grader, shot a 97 and finished in 28th place. Kelby recorded three pars, seven bogies, five double bogies, and three triple bogies.
Harrison Cameron, an eighth grader, shot a 105 to finish in 29th place. Harrison carded one par, six bogies, five double bogies, and six double bogies.
Crookston will be back in Roseau on Tuesday, May 26, for the North Sub-Section tournament.
