Crookston Pirate Boys Golf’s Garrett Fischer and Evan Shockman advance to the section golf tournament

The Crookston Pirate Boys Golf team shot a 349 and finished sixth place at the Section 8AA North Subsection boys golf tournament at Oakcreek Golf Course in Roseau. The Pirates will send Garrett Fischer and Evan Schockman to the Section 8A meet at Bemidji Town and Country Club north of Bemidji on June 1 and 2. The top three teams, East Grand Forks with an impressive 289, Roseau with a 308, and Warroad with a 313 all advance to the section meet.
The medalist was Gavin Rude of East Grand Forks with a five-under-par 66!!!!

Garrett Fisher, a senior, shot a 78 to finish in 8th place. He carded an eagle on the par-five 18th hole, and he had a birdie on the first hole. He also had eight pars, seven bogies, and one triple bogey.
Evan Shockman, a senior, shot an 80 to finish in 17th place. He carded two birdies, seven pars, seven bogies, and two double bogies.
Kelby Fee, a seventh grader, shot a 93 to finish in 32nd place. He recorded three pars, 10 bogies, four double bogies, and one quadruple bogey.
Colin Trudeau, a sophomore, shot a 98 to finish tied for 34th place. He had a birdie on the par four eighth hole, two pars, four bogies, 10 double bogies, and one quadruple bogey.
Harrison Cameron, an eighth grader, shot a 98 to finish tied for 34th place. He had three pars, six bogies, six double bogies, and two triple bogies.
Tony Elbinger, a senior, shot a 100 to finish in 38th place. He carded one par, eight bogies, six double bogies, three triple bogies.
