Todd Sisson’s life can best be measured not by the years he lived, but by the love, music, laughter, and memories he gave to those around him.
Born on December 24, 1957, Todd brought warmth and joy into the world from the very beginning. He passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo at the age of 68.
Todd shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Lynn, whom he married on June 23, 1989. Together they built 40 wonderful years filled with love, devotion, adventure, and family. He was a proud father to his two amazing and beautiful daughters, Annie and Keeley, and found endless joy in being Grandpa to his two cherished grandchildren, Henry and Junie, who brought him so much happiness and pride.
Todd was a man of both science and creativity. As a Food Scientist and Biologist, he dedicated his professional life to discovery, learning, and helping others. Outside of work, he found peace and happiness in the outdoors-especially while fishing and hunting-but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family.
Music was woven deeply into Todd’s heart. A gifted songwriter and guitar player, he expressed love through melodies and lyrics. He wrote songs for the people who meant the most to him-his wife, his daughters, and even the best man at his wedding-creating lasting gifts that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
Todd will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his intelligence, his creativity, and the deep love he carried for his family and friends. His songs, stories, laughter, and unwavering love will remain a treasured part of the lives he touched.
Though he will be deeply missed, Todd’s legacy lives on in the family he adored-Lynn, Annie, Keeley, Henry, and Junie-in the music he created, and in the countless memories shared around campfires, family gatherings, and quiet moments filled with love. His memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Todd’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at his home in Detroit Lakes. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, celebrate his life, and honor the love and joy he brought to so many.
