The Nels T Wold Post 20 American Legion Auxiliary has selected Wendy Chen Whiting, daughter of Charles and Hattie Whiting, to represent Crookston at the 79th Annual Minnesota Girls State to be held at Bethel University in Arden Hills from June 14-19. She will be a senior at Crookston High School in the fall.
The weeklong experience will consist of participation in the various levels and branches of our Minnesota government, in which every girl will hold an office. There will be campaigning and elections, precinct caucuses, and state conventions.
