Former Crookston resident Stephanie Simerly gets set to compete in an international dart festival in South Korea

Stephanie (Spinler) Simerly, daughter of Herb and Janet Spinler of Crookston, has advanced to the K-DARTS Festival 2026 that will take place on July 11 and 12 at the Songdo Convensia in Incheon, South Korea.

This event is a significant international soft-tip darts festival that attracts players from around the world who have qualified through the Phoenix Official League in their respective countries.

Stephanie is originally from Crookston and attended the University of Minnesota-Crookston in 1996 and 1997 but currently lives in Washington and plays for the Phoenix Darts. This massive tournament has evolved into one of the world’s largest international soft tip darts competitions, with participants from more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. It features various categories ranging from international singles and national team matches to amateur doubles and a Ladies’ Championship.

The main festival spans two full days of darts action. Events on Day 1 include Singles Cricket, International Team Match, and the Ladies Championship. Day 2 features Doubles Tournaments, International Singles, and bonus trios or gallon matches.
