It was a thumbs-up at the Crookston Community Swimming Pool on Tuesday when the Crookston Masonic Lodge and Crookston Chapter #137 Order of the Eastern Star presented over $6,000 to assist individuals, groups, and schools in learning to swim and practicing water safety skills.
Lodge members, Fin and Fit Crookston, and enthusiastic swimmers look forward to staying cool at the pool!
Additional updates from Fit and Fin include work on the new mural on the front wall of the community pool. Local artist Trey Everett has been working on the mural since the Park Board approved the mural design in May. Further updates will be provided on the mural’s progress.
Finally, it was announced that they will celebrate National Swimming Pool Day on Saturday, July 11, with a free open swim at the pool, located at 320 East 4th Street. The open swim will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Free snacks will be provided, along with chances to win prizes.
