Rep. Steve Gander receives first round NFIB PAC endorsement

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Minnesota Political Action Committee (PAC) has announced its first round of candidate endorsements for the Minnesota Legislature, including Steve Gander for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 1B.

Minnesota small businesses continue to struggle with inflation and government regulation. Higher taxes, lingering inflation, and the Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) mandate have made it harder for small businesses to keep up their day-to-day operations. Main Street needs strong advocates in the Legislature now more than ever.

“Each of these lawmakers has done an exceptional job advocating for Minnesota small businesses,” said Jon Boesche, NFIB Minnesota State Director. “Main Street is under more pressure than they’ve ever been with burdensome regulations like PFML. Business owners need strong voices in the Legislature to ensure that they can remain competitive and grow.”

State legislative endorsements are determined by the NFIB MN PAC Board, which is comprised of small business owners in Minnesota. Incumbent legislative endorsements are based on prior support for NFIB’s agenda and previous votes.

NFIB represents over 10,000 small businesses in Minnesota. The NFIB MN PAC endorsement is an important signal to voters across the state that a candidate will stand with small business.
