The 2026 Ox Cart Days Festival officially kicked off on Monday evening at the Crookston Inn ballroom with the Taste of Crookston, sponsored by United Valley Bank of Crookston. There were 18 food tables for the hundreds of people who attended the two-hour event.
The People’s Choice winner was Smoke’s Tacos de Carnitas with Smoke pepper sauce.
The runner-up was the Homestead Hustlers with their Jerk Chicken with rice, peas, and collard greens.
Third place was the Crookston Inn with the loaded baked potato
Smoke was named the People’s Choice for the Tacos de carnitas with Smoke Pepper sauce
