Jack Deziel, 67, of East Grand Forks, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at his home.
Jack Paul Deziel was born August 6, 1959, in Grand Forks, ND, one of nine children born to Harry and Aurora (Jarvis) Deziel. He grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Red River High School in 1978. Following high school, Jack worked for Hugo’s before starting his over 30-year career with Old Dutch, a job he lived for. Jack loved being a route salesman, where his clients became like family. Building relationships and talking were things that Jack enjoyed and
excelled at. He was a workaholic often putting in seven days a week. On December 31, 1994, Jack married Diane “Duke” Deziel at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in East Grand Forks. They made their home in East Grand Forks and were blessed with one son, Nate. In their early years, Jack and Duke enjoyed spending time snowmobiling and camping, especially at Cass Lake.
Jack is survived by his wife Duke Deziel of East Grand Forks; son Nate Deziel of East Grand Forks; siblings Jean Steig of AZ, Gary (Kathy) Deziel of Thompson, ND, Tammy (Gary) Hillier of Thompson, Yvonne (Tim) Murray of Angel Inlet, MN, Cathy Strand of Las Vegas, Pat (Sheila Kemmitz-Hartje) of Grand Forks and Kevin Deziel of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Aurora Deziel, brother Dale Deziel and in-laws, Dale Jeffery, Will Steig, Wayne Stand and Roxane Deziel.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3:00 PM, Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church 1515 5 th Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721. Service will be live-streamed on Jack’s page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com.
VISITATION: One hour prior to the Memorial Service at Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
INTERMENT: Resurrection Cemetery of East Grand Forks immediately following the service.
