On 09/22/2026 at approximately 07:20 a.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on 230th St SW near the intersection of 230th Ave SW. Darrell Cymbaluk of Crookston, MN, was driving a semi-truck and trailer westbound on 230th ST SW. Lynzie Woyczik of Brownsville, MN, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound, attempted to turn into a residence, and struck Cymbaluk’s truck and trailer. Woyczik was unable to see Cymbaluk coming due to the sun.
The driver- and passenger-side airbags in the Silverado were deployed. Woyczik was trapped in the vehicle for a short time before the Crookston Fire Department arrived on scene and was able to free her. She and her passenger, Baylee Fasching of Brainerd, MN sustained minor injuries. Cymbaluk was uninjured. All parties were medically cleared on scene by Crookston Area Ambulance.
All parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor.
The Sheriff’s Officer was assisted by the Crookston Police Department, the Minnesota State Patrol, the Crookston Fire Department, and the Crookston Area Ambulance.
No further information will be released at this time.
