A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR NW MINNESOTA AND EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA ISSUED UNTIL MIDNIGHT

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for northwest Minnesota and eastern North Dakota until Midnight Wednesday, July 17.
The watch includes the following Minnesota counties – Polk, Clay, Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Red Lake, and Roseau.
The watch includes the following North Dakota counties – Barnes, Benson, Cass, Cavalier, Dickey, Eddy, Foster, Grand Forks, Griggs, Lamoure, Logan, McIntosh, Nelson, Pembina, Ramsey, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele, Stutsman, Traill, and Walsh.

Severe thunderstorms will be possible this evening with hail up to two inches, damaging winds up to 75 mph and tornadoes.  Locally heavy rainfall and slow-moving thunderstorms may lead to localized flooding.
