A STEADY STREAM OF PEOPLE EAT AT POLICE AND FIREMAN’S PANCAKE BREAKFAST

A steady stream of people kept the tables at the Crookston Fire Hall full this morning for the Police and Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast. Crookston firefighter Bob Magsam said a crowd was ready to eat at 5:45 a.m. this morning.  “Busy, busy, busy,” said Magsam.  “We had a great crowd here at 5:45 this morning waiting for the cooks to get their act together and breakfast – pancakes, french toast, and sausage – out.  But it didn’t take us long to get it all fired up.  It’s been a great, steady crowd from 5:45 a.m. until now.”

The breakfast is organized in a joint effort between the city’s police and fire organizations. “It’s a joint effort,” said Magsam.  “There are four entities that come together for it.  It’s the Crookston Fire Department, the Crookston Firefighters Association, the Crookston Police Department and the Crookston Police Reserves.  So, we have members from all four of those entities running around trying to keep everybody fed and everybody happy.”
