ALTRU CLINIC IN CROOKSTON WELCOMES JAMI MATHEWS, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Altru Clinic in Crookston is excited to welcome Jami Mathews, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its medical team. Mathews will be available starting August 8 to care for patients in Crookston and Erskine.

Previously Mathews was a health coach at Altru Clinic in Crookston for several years. For the last two years, she has been working for Polk County Public Health as a certified nurse practitioner.

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bemidji State University, Mathews received her master’s in Family Nursing Practitioner, from Maryville University, in Missouri, in May 2020.

Mathews is motivated by making a difference in her patients’ lives.

“I knew I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, by becoming a nurse practitioner, it has allowed me this opportunity,” says Mathews. “I am passionate about patient-centered care and meeting a patient where they are at. Providing them education and tools to allow the patient to make an informed decision that fits their needs while still incorporating high-quality and research-based care.”
