American Crystal Sugar proudly awarded the Crookston Police Department a $5,000 check to aid in replacing its outdated radio communications systems, which have reached their end of service life and are no longer supported. The current system includes handheld portable radios for each officer and support staff, mobile radios for squad vehicles, and base units for the dispatch center.
Serving as the primary law enforcement agency for Crookston, the department handles public safety, family services (such as mental health and child protection), school safety, traffic safety, educational services, emergency medical responses, and non-emergency dispatch services. American Crystal’s support aims to assist in acquiring crucial upgrades for improved communication within the Police Department.
