ANDY OMAN STATE FARM GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY’S SALONS, HEALTH CARE

The staff at Andy Oman State Farm have made the challenges of the past few months with COVID-19 about giving back to the community.  They’ve delivered goodies from Widman’s and Wonderful Life Foods to health care workers, and this week provided Chamber Bucks to salon professionals who’ve been unable to work the past two months.

Andy Oman said they tried to come up with ideas to make a positive difference in the community. “Through all the crazy times we’ve all been dealing with since mid-March we decided to try to come up with ideas to an attempt to make a positive difference in this community during these uncertain times,” said Oman.  “The first thing we did was to deliver individually wrapped bags of Widman’s chippers, and Wonderful Life Foods monster cookies, to over 700 health care professionals at RiverView Health, Altru Clinic, and the Villa in Crookston in mid-April thanking them for taking care of the health of our community.”

Oman said that besides supporting the individual professionals in the community they also have been trying to find ways to support community businesses at the same time. “Now, with the help of State Farm Good Neighbor Community Fund we’re delivering $25 in Chamber Bucks along with some State Farm goodies to all salon professionals who haven’t been able to work through COVID-19,” said Oman.  “Just to welcome them back and thank them for beautifying our community.  In addition to our appreciation for all of these great professionals, we’ve made sure our efforts ultimately support our community businesses too.  Tying back to all of our community businesses and the challenges they’re facing during these crazy times.”

Oman said the goal is to make a difference and hopefully brighten some days during trying times. “We’re just trying to make a difference,” said Oman. “And I know from a health care perspective being on the Board of Directors at RiverView, I know heartfelt times of what these professionals have gone through from health care to salons. And if we can make any difference to brighten their days that was really our goal.  So, very happy we could that.”
