ANOTHER FOOD DISTRIBUTION EVENT WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY MORNING

Harvest Church and Trinity Lutheran Church of Crookston, along with the Crookston High School Leo Club will be holding another drive-through food distribution event on Saturday morning (May 22).  The group has partnered with Farmers to Families and free food boxes will be available in the Crookston High School parking lot starting at about 9:30 a.m.

“Hopefully the truck is there at 8:00 a.m. and we can get it unloaded and people can start lining up at the high school parking lot and we can start handing out boxes at about 9;30,” said event organizer Jason Tangquist. “It is open for anyone, there are no rules or restrictions or anything.  I am encouraging everybody to come out because it is probably going to be the last one.”

The food boxes have a wide variety of food items from dairy, meat, fruit, vegetables, and more.  “We want to make sure we have enough people show up to get the food distributed and not have any food leftover,” said Tangquist.

It has been a team effort to pull off the food distribution events in Crookston. “It has been good.  Harvest Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, the Leo Club, and a couple of other groups helped us along the way,” said Tangquist. “Hopefully people have appreciated it.  I think it has gone well and we were lucky to get these trucks to come.”
