The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston made the following arrests.
Kevin Michael Kompelien, 59, no address provided, for 5th-Degree Drug Procure/Possession
Skyler Allen Peltier, 28, of East Grand Forks, for Domestic Assault
Dustin Alan Quam, 27, no address provided, for Use for Toxic Substances
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
4/16/2022
At 7:42 a.m., the CFD responded to the 300 block of S Main St. for a smoke detector activation. Upon arrival, there was no danger present, and it was found that the dust had activated the detector. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
4/17/2022
At 12:08 a.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Sargent St. for a report of a smell of smoke and gas odor. Upon investigation, it was found that a person in the neighborhood was burning wood. There was no danger present, and the CFD then cleared the scene.
At 8:00 p.m., the CFD responded to Section 26 of Gentilly Township for a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 140th Ave SW and US Hwy 2. The CFD assisted with traffic control. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.
