ARREST/FIRE REPORT – APRIL 3, 2023

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following – 

Danielle Marie Mae Kezar, 36 of Thief River Falls, for DUI – 3rd degree – driving while impaired with one aggravating factor

Justin Lee Salveson, 36 of Crookston, for violating a no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two or more convictions

Jason Conrad Stone, 31, for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle in Mahnomen

Scott Lee Yost, 48 of Twin Valley, for obstructing the legal process, interfering with a peace officer

Aurelio Benavidez Carrizales, 24 of East Grand Forks, for 3rd-degree possession of methamphetamine/Amphetamine in a school, park, or public housing zone. 

Kassandra Joann Zanter, 23 of Grand Forks, for 3rd-degree possession of methamphetamine/Amphetamine in a school, park, or public housing zone. 

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

3/31/2023

At 8:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be a mechanical issue within the alarm system. There was no danger present. The CFD turned over control to staff and cleared the scene.

At 6:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1100 block of Norton Circle for a report of a smoke detector activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be a water leak going through the detector, which caused the activation. There was no danger present. The CFD installed some new detectors and cleared the scene.

4/1/2023

At 1:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 700 block of S Front St for a garage roof collapse. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated and it was found that the cause was too much snow on the garage roof. There were no injuries to report. The CFD contacted the power company to turn off the power to the garage and cleared the scene.
