ARREST/FIRE REPORT-AUGUST 10

The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-

Emanuel Israel Hermoso, 28, of Crookston, for third-degree drug possession.

Matthew Charles Begin, 48, of Crookston, for domestic assault.

Micheal Thomas Manley, 56, of Halstad, for fifth-degree drug possession.

Desiree Nate Freadrich, 40, of Halstad, for fifth-degree drug possession.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 8/9/2023 –

At 9:33 a.m., the CFD responded to Section 2 of Andover Township for a report of black smoke coming from the area. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated and found out the property owner was burning pallets. The CFD explained to the property owner that they were not allowed to burn pallets. There was no danger present. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 12:43 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1900 block of Sahlstrom Dr for a report of a one-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it was found that the vehicle had struck a bollard. The CFD investigated to confirm there was no other danger present. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.

At 1:38 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for an elevator alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that no one was in the elevator. The CFD talked to staff, reset the alarm, and cleared the scene.
