The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrests.
Samantha Erin Hutchinson, 29 of Carlton, for 5th-Degree Drug possession.
Charles Murray Rodriguez, 32 (no address given), for Contempt of court through deceit or abuse of court process.
Christopher Lee Thumb, 18 of Grand Forks, for giving a Peace Officer a fake ID.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 8/19/2021 –
At 3:47 p.m., the CFD responded to the 600 block of Eickhof Blvd for a smoke detector making noise. Upon investigation, it was found the detector had a low battery. There was no danger present, and the CFD cleared the scene.
At 7:05 p.m., the CFD responded to section 32 of Lowell Township to assist the bomb squad with a possible old motor round that was found. The bomb squad requested the CFD to stand by in case of any danger. Once the area was deemed safe, CFD cleared the scene.
