The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrest.
George Laura Mae Casavan, 28, no address provided, for 2nd-Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

At 1:14 a.m., the CFD responded to the 1200 block of Hwy 75 S. for a report of a roof fire and pulp dryer fire. Upon arrival, the CFD worked on extinguishing the fires for a couple of hours. The CFD extinguished the fire, and when there was no danger present, turned over control to staff and cleared the scene.
