The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-
Demetrios Louis Carter, 33, of St. Cloud, for parole violation.
Sean David Corner, 25, of Crookston, for domestic abuse and violation of a protection order.
Christopher Paul Lee, 41, of Sunset, California, for disorderly conduct.
Pheynix Charles Graham, 25, of Ada, for disorderly conduct.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
1/13/2024
At 10:21 a.m., the CFD responded to the 800 block of Fisher Ave for a report of an elevator alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be an accidental activation. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
At 4:45 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Redwood Road for a report of a gas smell. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and no source of the smell was found. The area was deemed safe, and the CFD cleared the scene.
1/14/2024
At 10:10 a.m., the CFD responded to the 200 block of 7th Ave S for a report of a gas smell. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated and it was found that some sewer vents were plugged. The CFD cleared the vents, and no danger was present. The CFD then cleared the scene.
At 8:18 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1000 block of Washington Ave for a report of a resident who had a small fire on their stove. Upon arrival, it was found that the resident was able to extinguish the fire. The CFD confirmed the fire was extinguished and that there was no danger present. The CFD shut off the gas, turned over control to the resident, and then cleared the scene.
