The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-
Mitchell Dale Coauette, 45, of Crookston, for third-degree possession of methamphetamine/Amphetamine in a school/park/public housing zone.
Jamie Alameda, 53 of East Grand Forks, for being a fugitive from Justice from another state.
Linnea Rae Edman, 42 no address provided, for obstructing the legal process, lawful execution of the legal process.
Tyrel Traverse Ambuehl, 37, of Mahnomen, for being a predatory offender knowingly violating the registration requirement or intentionally providing false information.
Robert Allen Schuler, 42 – homeless, for damage to property in the third degree. A reduced value of $501 to $1,000.
Jaime Eric Helland, 40 of Albert Lea, for failure to appear when charged or convicted of a felony
Thomas Gene Warren Jr., 41 of Mahnomen, for first-degree DUI
Jeffrey Jared Lane, 45, of Crookston, for DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

At 4:34 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2300 block of Sahlstrom Dr. for a report of a smoking electric fireplace. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated and it was found that the blower motor on the fireplace had stopped working, while the heating element continued to run which caused the smoke. The CFD unplugged the fireplace and removed it from the building. There was no danger present, the CFD turned over control to staff and cleared the scene.
1/28/2024
At 5:03 p.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of US Hwy 2 and 280th St. SW for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the CFD assisted with traffic control, and there were no injuries to report. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.
At 9:09 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1200 block of Memorial Dr. for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and it was deemed that cigarette smoke had caused the alarm to activate. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
