The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the arrest of the following –
Kayla Marie Waslaski, 40 of Crookston, for drug offense, storing chemical substance in the presence of a child or vulnerable adult.
Nathan Timothy Riepe, 51 of Ada, for second-degree DUI with two or more aggravating factors

On Monday, January 5th, at 8:50 a.m., the Crookston Fire Department was called out to the 2300 block of Holstrom for a general fire alarm activation. On scene, they were met by staff who informed them that it was caused by burnt popcorn. They reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
On Monday, January 5th, at 9:15 a.m., the Crookston Fire Department was called out to the 500th block of Fisher for a vehicle accident. On scene, they found it to be a vehicle versus a light pole. They controlled traffic and assisted in removing the car before clearing the scene.
On Monday, January 5th, at 5:15 p.m., the Crookston Fire Department was called out to the 100th block of Sargant for a general fire alarm activation. On scene, they were met by the tenant who informed them that it was caused by burnt food. They reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
