The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the following arrests.
Anfernee Jerell Saulsberry, 28, of Grand Forks, for 4th-Degree Assault of a Peace Officer
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
1/8/2023
At 9:37 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Hurlbut St for a report of a car on fire. Upon arrival, the CFD extinguished the fire. The fire was contained to the vehicle, and there was substantial damage. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.
1/9/2023
At 4:45 a.m., the CFD responded to the 600 block of N Broadway for an alarm activation, as well as a hot electrical smell. Upon arrival, the CFD found a transformer was overheating in the building. The CFD shut down power to a portion of the building and turned over control to staff. There was no danger present. The CFD then cleared the scene.
