ARREST/FIRE REPORT – JULY 1, 2024

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the arrest of the following over the weekend-  

Amanda Dee Marquardt, 39, of Ada, for Domestic Assault, Intentionally Infects/Attempts to Inflict Bodily Harm on Another.

Timothy Garret Jenson, 27, of Crookston, for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle trying to enter without the owners permission.

Michael Joseph Paul Johnson, 26, of East Grand Forks, for Burglary in the third-degree.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend – 

6/28/2024

At 11:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 1200 block of N Front St for a report of a detector sounding. Upon arrival, it was found the detector was sounding from a vacant apartment. The CFD gained access to the apartment, and it was found to be a faulty detector. There was no danger present. The CFD notified staff and then cleared the scene.

6/29/2024

At 10:30 a.m., the CFD responded to the 900 block of Eickhof Blvd. for a report of a gas smell in a building. Upon arrival, the CFD used gas monitoring tools and located a gas leak. The CFD shut off the gas and contacted Great Plains Natural Gas and the building’s owner. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene. 

At 11:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 500 block of Cedar Ln for a report of a detector activation. Upon arrival, the CFD used gas monitoring tools, and no danger was present. The CFD conducted a detector survey and then cleared the scene.
