The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston reported the following arrests over the weekend –
Heidi Suzanne Nelson, 43 of Crookston, for Contempt of Court with willful disobedience to court mandate
Michael Samuel Green, 59 of Moorhead, for Probation Violation
Justin Michael Blilie, 38 of Stephan, for giving a peace officer a fake ID
Christopher Paul Mattson, 43 of Crookston, for Probation Violation
Paul James Feather, 50 of Erskine, for Contempt of Court by refusal to be sworn as witness or answer interrogation questions
Susan Marie Boman, 62 of Stephen, for Traffic-DUI-Third Degree Driving while impaired.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
7/24/2021
At 9:30 a.m., the CFD responded to the 400 block of N Main for a report of an individual that was burning trash. CFD made contact with the individual and discussed city ordinances that only clean dry wood can be burned. The fire was extinguished and CFD cleared the scene.
At 3:30 p.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 75 for a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, CFD assisted with general debris cleanup. Once the debris was cleared, CFD cleared the scene. Other agencies that responded were the Crookston Police Department and Polk County Sheriff Office.
At 4:42 p.m., the CFD responded to Section 27 of the Belgium Township for a small vegetation fire. Upon arrival, CFD contained and extinguished the fire. Upon investigation, it was deemed spontaneous combustion in compost fire caused the fire. Once the area was deemed safe, CFD cleared the scene.
At 7:23 p.m., the CFD responded to the 1900 block of Pirate Drive for an elevator alarm. Upon arrival, there were no issues found, and CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
7/25/2021
At 12:16 a.m., the CFD responded to the 1300 block of Meadowland Ave for Carbon Monoxide detector activation. Upon investigation with Carbon Monoxide detection tools, there was a small amount of Carbon Monoxide found. CFD ventilated the building and once the area was deemed safe, cleared the scene.
At 11:40 a.m., the CFD responded to Section 26 of Fairfax Township for a small ditch fire. Upon arrival, CFD contained and extinguished the fire. CFD then contacted the power company as there were power polls involved. The CFD then cleared the scene.
