ARREST/FIRE REPORT- JULY 9, 2024

The Northwest Regional Correction Center reported the arrest of the following-

Matthew James Bye, 41, of Grand Forks, for DUI in the third degree, driving while impaired.

Hunter Perry James Lundeen, 24, of Red Lake Falls, for Disorderly Conduct.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 7/8/2024 –

At 1:43 p.m., the CFD responded to the 700 block of Memorial Dr. for a report of a slight burning smell. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and it was determined that the smell was caused by an electrical malfunction in the HVAC system. The CFD shut off the HVAC system, and the homeowner called to have the system looked at and repaired. When the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene. 

At 4:08 p.m., the CFD responded to the 300 block of Ingersoll Ave for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated and was unable to find the cause of the alarm’s activation. The area was deemed safe. The CFD reset the alarm and then cleared the scene. 

At 8:16 p.m., the CFD responded to Section 27 of Lowell township for a one-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, it was found the vehicle had left the roadway. The CFD assisted the other responding local agencies, and the occupant of the vehicle. Once the occupant was out of the vehicle and the tow truck arrived, the CFD cleared the scene.
