Arrest/Fire Report – June 1, 2020

The Crookston Fire Department responded to the following calls over the weekend – 

Friday, May 29 12:05 p.m. – a grass fire in section 19 of Lowell Township along the railroad tracks. The fire was extinguished and the cause was determined to be sparks from a passing train. 

Friday, May 29 at 1:42 p.m. – on the 1500-block of Radisson Rd for a strong odor in the basement. There were no toxic levels and the odor was determined to originate at the floor drain. 

Friday, May 29 at 2:48 p.m. – on the 700-block of East Robert St for a general activation alarm. The staff were changing the batteries in detectors which activated the alarm. 

Saturday, May 30 at 6:19 p.m. – for a brush fire in Section 28 and 29 of Parnell Township. The cause was unknown, the fire was extinguished and crews returned to quarters.
