The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston has reported the arrest of the following:
Asiyah Nijaa Jernia Kevil, 23, of Abilene, TX, for fifth-degree drug possession schedule 1-2-3-4, not a small amount of marijuana
Joseph James Grenier, 42, of Crookston, for DUI

On Sunday, June 21st, at 11:45 a.m., the Crookston Fire Department responded to the 600th block of Hawley Ave for a report of smoke in the kitchen. On scene, they found the owner had unplugged every appliance in the kitchen. On further investigation, they found the smoke came from a faulty washing machine. They removed the machine before clearing the scene.
On Sunday, June 21st, at 8:00 p.m., the Crookston Fire Department responded to the 1600th block of Alexander Street for a smoke detector activation. On scene, they found that the smoke detector was faulty. They replaced the detector and cleared the scene.
