ARREST/FIRE REPORT – JUNE 3, 2024

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following over the weekend-  

6/1/2024

Jacob Duane Hibl, 38, of Crookston, for Public Nuisance, Annoy/Injure/Endanger Safety.

James Richard Shaugbay, 33, of Theif River Falls, for Drugs, third-degree sale to a person under 18.

Sean Jacob Halvorson, 23, of Gonvick, for Damage to Property, fourth-degree intentional damage.

6/2/2024 

John Lewis Dickstein, 56, for Theft, Take/Use/Transfer movable property with no consent.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –

6/1/2024

At 6:30 a.m., the CFD responded to the 2100 block of S Main St for a report of some smoldering bags. Upon arrival, it was found that some bags of sunflower seeds were smoldering. The CFD cut open the bags to extinguish any smoldering seeds. Once the area was deemed safe, the CFD cleared the scene.

At 10:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 500 block of 1st Ave NE for a report of a detector activating. Upon arrival, it was found to be a faulty detector. There was no danger present. The CFD performed a smoke detector survey, tested all detectors, and then cleared the scene.

6/2/2024

At 1:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Sargent St for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, the CFD investigated, and no cause of the alarm activation was found. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm panel, and then cleared the scene.
