The Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston made the following arrests.
Wien Kriel, 26, of East Grand Forks, for 4th-Degree DUI
Suzette Gay Thompson, 57, of Thief River Falls, for 1st-Degree Arson on a Building
Norman Smith, 33, of Albany, Georgia, for 3rd-Degree DUI
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 6/7/2022 –
At 9:28 p.m., the CFD responded to the 200 block of S Minnesota St. for a Carbon Monoxide detector activation. Upon arrival, the CFD used gas monitoring tools, and no Carbon Monoxide was found. It was determined that the detector needed new batteries. There was no danger present. The CFD cleared the scene.
At 11:48 p.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of N Front St. and W 7th St. for a report of a one-vehicle accident. The accident started on the 1400 block of N Front St., and the vehicle came to rest on the 500 block of W 7th St. The CFD assisted the Crookston Police Department with debris cleanup. The CFD then cleared the scene.
