The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following

Grace Marie Gieske, 25, was arrested in Oklee, for 3rd degree DUI

Marla Jo Fairbanks, 44, was arrested in Fosston, for Operating an unregistered vehicle

Eddie Kyle Kilbourn, 66, of Crookston, for Fleeing a Peace Officer in a motor vehicle

Jason Alfred Martinez, 46, of Grand Forks, for Financial Transaction Card Fraud

Mario Alexander Rivera, 25, of Grand Forks, for 3rd Degree DUI – Driving while impaired

Crookston Fire Calls

The Crookston Fire Department had a busy weekend of calls and they are listed below.

FRIDAY – May 9
At 7:30 AM – They were called to the 400 block of Sherman for a smoke detector sounding. Nothing was found. It could have been from the heavy smoke outside. They cleared the scene.

At 4:57 PM – They were called to 2200 University Avenue for a pull station alarm. The pull station was accidentally pulled. They reset the station and cleared the scene.
At 8:16 PM – They were called to the 400 Block of Hunter for a garage fire. They extinguished the fire, which is currently under investigation, and cleared the scene.
At 8:24 PM – They were called to the 100 Block of East 3rd Street for a water flow alarm activation. Nothing was found. They reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

SATURDAY – May 10
They were called to 170th Street and 210th Street SW for a powerline on a tractor. The tractor operator was able to get out. A live wire was down, and a pole sheared off. The power company was called, and they cleared the scene.

SUNDAY – May 11
At 3:36 PM – They were called to the 2100 Block of South Main for a call of smoke or fire. They found product at the business burning. They extinguished the fire, soaked everything down, and cleared the scene.
