The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following

Crookston Fire Calls

The Crookston Fire Department was called out four times on Tuesday, May 14.

At 9:30 a.m. they were called to the 200 block of Washington Street when detectors went off. They replaced batteries in the detectors and cleared the scene.

At 2:54 p.m., they were called to the 100 block of Gretchen Lane when smoke came from a garden plot. It was from a cigarette and they made sure it was out and cleared the scene.

At 6:48 p.m. they were called to the 100 block of Sargeant Street for an alarm activation. It was burning grease from cooking. They took care of the issue and cleared the scene.

At 9:06 p.m., they were called to the 500 block of South Ash Street due to a tree on a power line. They were on standby until Otter Tail Power crews were able to turn off the power. The firefighters helped clear the tree and then cleared the scene.
