ARREST/FIRE REPORT – May, 3, 2021

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the following arrests –

Mohamed Abdulkadir Jama, 31 of East Grand Forks, for Terroristic Threats, cause or attempt to cause terror

Tonya Ruth Buschette, 46 of Twin Valley, for first-degree possession of 100 kilos of more of marijuana

Cheryl Ann Gudaitis, 65 of East Grand Forks, for third-degree possession of scheduled one or two narcotics, LSD, MDA, or MDMA in a school/park/or public housing zone.

The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls on 5/3/2021 – 

At 9:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 1500 block of Radisson Road for a smoke detector activation. Upon investigation, it was found that a low battery had caused the detector to activate. CFD assisted the homeowner with changing out the battery, conducted a detector survey, and cleared the scene.

At 3:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found that a motor that powered an air compressor had burnt up, and smoke from that had activated the detector. There was no danger present. CFD turned over control to staff and cleared the scene.
