At 4:59 p.m., the CFD responded to Section 33 of Gentilly Township for a report of a one-acre brush fire. The CFD worked on controlling the fire. Eventually, the DNR sent a crew to take over. The CFD was relieved of their duties and cleared the scene.

At 5:12 a.m., the CFD responded to Section 26 of Vineland Township for mutual aid with fuel tanks on fire. It is believed that a lightning strike hit a tree next to the tanks. The CFD assisted local agencies, and once relieved of their duties, cleared the scene.

At 10:15 a.m., the CFD responded to the 300 block of S Central Ave for an alarm tone being heard in the area. The source of the alarm was found, with it coming from a residence with no one there. The CFD was able to contact the homeowners, and there was no danger present. The CFD then cleared the scene.

At 10:25 a.m., the CFD responded to the intersection of S Minnesota St. and Leonard Ave for a report of a spilled liquid along the road. Upon investigation, it was found that two totes full of diesel fuel had been placed along the road. The CFD cleaned up the diesel from the roadway and properly disposed of the remaining diesel fuel from the two plastic totes. The CFD then cleared the scene.
