Arrest/Fire Report – Monday, January 11, 2020

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:

Javier Ramirez, 22 of Red Lake Falls, for felony 5th-degree possession or procurement of a controlled substance. Bail supplied.

Shane Alexander Amundson, 28 of East Grand Forks, as a felony fugitive from another state.

 

The Crookston Fire Department responded to the following calls over the weekend:

At 11:00 p.m., the CFD responded to a call on Newton Ave for a water heater that had started burning. Upon arrival, CFD helped the owner extinguish the fire, and investigated for the cause of the fire. It was determined that an electrical issue was the probable cause. Once deemed safe, CFD then cleared the scene.
