Arrest/Fire Report – Monday, January 28, 2019

The Northwest Regional Corrections Center announced the arrests of the following individuals:

Jacques Junior Chapusette, 31, for misdemeanor failure to appear. Bail Supplied.

Felicia Ann Riley, 33 of Crookston, on a misdemeanor for making an emergency call with no emergency.  Released on personal recognizance.

Jordan Jeffery Juneau, 32 of St. Hilaire, for misdemeanor trespass refuse to depart. 

Dennis Robert Slack, 31 of Crookston, for felony endangerment of a child’s person or health.

Tracy Marie Quinn, 41 of Crookston, for felony endangerment of child in a situation that could cause harm or death or results in harm to physical, emotional health.

Thomas Jay Shern, 39 of East Grand Forks, for felony 3rd-degree sale of narcotic.

Edward Adam Harper, 31 of Minneapolis, for felony simple robbery.

Sabrina Noel Suggs, 21 of Fosston, for misdemeanor domestic assault intentionally attempts to inflict or inflicts bodily harm on another.

Brady Kevin Hanson, 26 of Fosston, for felony 2nd-degree burglary of a dwelling.

 

FIRE CALLS

At approximately 12:45 p.m. Saturday, January 26 the Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in an apartment building located at 921 32nd Ave S.  The fire was reported to be located in a bathroom in one of the apartments.
When fire crews arrived on scene they observed a slight haze of smoke coming from one of the apartment windows on the third floor. Fire crews entered the building and encountered significant smoke throughout the hallway of the third floor. Firefighters made their way into the apartment where the fire was located and quickly extinguished the fire, which was located in the bathroom of the apartment. There were no injuries to the residents or fire department personnel. The resident of the affected apartment will not be able to stay in the apartment this evening and was provided housing by the Red Cross. The remaining residents of the building were allowed back into their apartments.
The Grand Forks Fire Department responded with 19 personnel on 5 engines, 1 ladder truck, and 1command vehicle. The fire was primarily contained to the bathroom but there is smoke damage throughout the apartment; damage to the unit is estimated at about $10,000.00. Fire Marshals from the Grand Forks Department were called to the scene to investigate. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance were on scene assisting.

At approximately 7:59 p.m. Sunday, January 27 Grand Forks Fire Department was dispatched to 325 N 51St. for a vehicle fire that was near a garage structure.
First arriving fire engine crews found a vehicle, 2002 Ford Expedition, was partially involved on fire in the engine compartment and spreading into the passenger compartment.  Crew used about 100 gallons of water to extinguish the vehicle and no structures were in danger of fire.
Grand Forks Fire Department responded with 3 fire engines and 1 command vehicle. Once on scene, crews determined that no structures were in danger, 2 fire engines were released. Vehicle involved is considered a total loss.  Cause of fire is under investigation.   Grand Forks Police Department and Altru Ambulance were also on scene.
